Digiscape Gallery, a Chennai-based e-publishing training organisation, is conducting a talent search examination at Loyola College on July 2 at 10 a.m. The free training and recruitment programme will be conducted in association with NewGen Imaging Systems, an integrated solutions provider of publishing and data services. The examination is open for diploma holders, graduates and postgraduates in science, humanities, engineering, life sciences and law. Sixty publishing aspirants will be given an opportunity to study a one-year PG diploma course in e-publishing - copy editing by Digiscape Gallery. The full-time course costs Rs.25,000. The selection process includes the test and an interview. The selected candidates will get an annual stipend and will later be placed in jobs with a salary of Rs.12,000 a month. The talent search exam will also identify 100 students to undergo training in technical editing, graphic editing and typesetting courses, with scholarships sponsored by e-publishing companies.
