Shiv Pershad is city Congress chief

HYDERABAD:
A jumbo-sized 234-member City Congress Committee headed by Shiv Pershad was announced by APCC President K. Keshava Rao on Friday.
The new body includes 37 general secretaries, 44 vice-presidents, 68 secretaries, 53 organising secretaries and 33 executive committee members. All were unanimously elected and Mr. Keshava Rao gave the nod by signing an order to this effect.
Addressing the newly-elected members at a meeting in Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Kalyana Mandapam, Padmarao Nagar, the PCC President asked them to work for people's welfare. At the end of the meeting, they pledged to take the party's people-centric programmes forward.
The new body includes general secretaries Mahavir Singh and Yogesh Raj Srivastav and treasurer Kamal Kumar Agarwal. Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav and State president, Priyanka, Rahul Gandhi Brigade A. Pushwanth Reddy were also present.
