BSNL customer service centre

CHENNAI:
Chennai Telephones on Friday opened a customer service centre at its Avadi main exchange.
A host of services, from accepting bill payments by cash and cheque for landline and mobile connections and also from public call offices to sale of India Telephone Card and pre-paid mobile recharge cards and booking of new connections, would be offered at the facility on MTH Road.
The subscribers of any exchange could pay their bills at the centre. Chennai Telephones officials said it would be benefit about 24,000 subscribers in areas such as Thiruninravur and Pattabiram. Tiruvallur District Consumer Information Centre Chief Coordinator T. Sadagopan, who inaugurated the facility, said it was a long pending demand of the subscribers in the area.
