Bus service a day later
Nirupama Subramanian
ISLAMABAD:
The bus service between Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir and Rawalakot in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, scheduled to be flagged off on June 19, has been postponed by a day.
An Indian High Commission official here said the postponement was "by mutual agreement". The Pakistan Foreign Office said the postponement was agreed to by Islamabad at India's instance.
The Poonch-Rawalakot point was opened to civilian crossings in November 2005 after the earthquake in the region. India and Pakistan agreed to start the fortnightly bus service last month.
