Four killed in car-bus collision

BANGALORE: Four persons, including three women, were killed when the car by which they were travelling collided with a KSRTC bus in Nelamangala police station limits in Bangalore Rural district on Friday.

The police said the accident occurred around 7.15 a.m. on National Highway 48, off Mallarabanawadi Gate. While the car was coming to Bangalore from Mangalore, the KSRTC bus was bound for Kunigal from Bangalore.

The car driver Dhananjaya Kumar (25), his mother Parvathamma (50) and another woman Hema (25), were killed on the spot. An unidentified woman, who was injured, died in a hospital in Nelamangala. While it is said that the dead were from Vijayanagar in the city, the police are yet to confirm it. The Nelamangala police have registered a case and seized the bus and the car.
