NEW DELHI: Members of the Apex Body of the Foundation for Unity of Religions and Enlightened Citizenship (FUREC) called on President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Friday. They informed Dr. Kalam of FUREC's activities over the past few months that included spreading the message of unity among religions and enlightened citizenship in the Capital's schools through workshops and membership drives. Dr. Kalam suggested that FUREC also take care of the people in need and concentrate on semi-urban and rural areas. Popular singer Usha Uthup presented to Dr. Kalam a compact disc of FUREC's theme song that she has composed and sung. The theme song is based on the President's Peace Prayer.
