KOCHI: Kochi Refineries Limited (KRL) has received the FACT MKK Nayar Memorial Productivity Award instituted by the Kerala State Productivity Council. The award is for the best productivity performance during 2004-05 in the large industries category. Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan presented the award to B.K. Menon, Managing Director, KRL, at a function in Kochi on Thursday. Industries Minister Elamaram Karim presided over the function. The year 2004-05 was an excellent one in KRL's history both in operational and financial parameters. The company achieved capacity utilisation of 105.65 per cent. The profit after tax of Rs.842.1 crore achieved during the year was also a record.
