BANGALORE : The biennial elections to the Legislative Council from the three graduates and three teachers constituencies were held on Saturday in which the fate of the two Ministers in the H.D. Kumaraswamy Government will be known on Monday when the counting of votes will take place. The polling was peaceful barring an incident involving two Congress leaders Tejaswini Sriramesh, Kanakapura MP, and C.M. Lingappa, former Ramanagaram MLA, in the vicinity of a polling booth near Ramanagaram which forms part of Kanakapura Lok Sabha constituency. The highest percentage of voting was recorded in South East Teachers Constituency comprising Tumkur, Kolar and Chitradurga and part of Davanagere districts where 79.08 per cent of the electorate exercised their franchise.
