MLA inaugurates dharna in front of district hospital

In protest against official indifference

PATHANAMTHITTA: People's representatives and local people staged a dharna in front of the District Hospital in Kozhencherry on Saturday, in protest against the official indifference towards the hospital.

K. Sivadasan Nair, MLA, inauguarted the dharna.

Inaugurating the dharna, Mr. Nair said the Health department's negligence towards improving the facilities at the District Hospital would be brought to the notice of the Assembly.

He demanded an inquiry into the loss incurred by the closure of the payward at the hospital without "any valid reasons" for nearly nine months.

District panchayat member K.K. Royson, block panchayat members M.B. Sathyan, V.G. Krishnadas and Jerry Sam Mathew spoke.
