Isolated rain likely in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over Rayalaseema, Telangana, Lakshadweep and interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Kerala and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are:

Medak and Nizamsagar (Nizamabad dt.) 5 each, Tiruchengode (Namakkal dt.), Hyderabad Airport and Mantralayam (Kurnool dt.) 4 each, Kurnool 3, Virudhunagar, Hasaan, Gadag, Haveri and Agathi Airport 2 each and Khammam 1.

FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andhra Pradesh.

Farmers Weather Bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (Forecast valid until the morning of 20th June 2006): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Outlook for Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
