MADURAI KAMARAJ University has launched a new programme, Post-Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics, through the Directorate of Distance Education this year.

"We are entering into tie-ups with hospitals and professional training centres to impart training to candidates," says S. Vadivelu, Director of Distance Education. Since tie-ups will be there at various places, students will be attached to hospitals in their respective places.

To start with, the university will sign agreements with hospitals in Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore soon, which will be extended to other places. It depends on response from students at different places, Dr. Vadivelu says.

Eligibility

B.Sc. (Nutrition and Dietetics), B.Sc. (Clinical Nutrition), B. Sc. (Home Science) or any other degree considered equivalent thereto. More details about course/admission and application forms can be had from the university on phone numbers: 0452-2458471, 2459185.
