Former Minister quits TRS

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The seat-sharing talks between the Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) turned sour on Sunday evening when a former Minister of the latter, K. Surender Reddy, tendered his resignation from the party protesting against the raw deal to him in allotment of seats in his native Medchal Assembly segment of Ranga Reddy district.

The Congress conceded three ZPTCs to the TRS in the district but none of them was in Medchal constituency. Protesting against the development, Mr. Reddy walked out of the meeting in a huff and faxed his resignation to the party president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, now in Delhi.
