Entry of party workers into Niloufer opposed

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Medical Employees' Union objected to the political party workers entering the Niloufer Hospital and what it called `terrorising the hospital staff.'

In a statement issued here on Sunday, the union said political party workers broke the glass entrance and disrupted the functioning of the hospital.

The union appreciated city MLAs -- P. Janardhan Reddy and M. Sashidhar Reddy -- for taking a positive stand and making suggestions to improve the services.

In case of a complaint, the authorities could be approached to find facts and help in taking remedial steps in the interest of patients, the union president, G.Ramchander said in the statement.
