Inter student dies
in road accident
A second year Intermediate student M. Sharat Chandra, 17, died on Saturday when the motorcycle he was riding hit against a car near Ranga Reddy court complex. Student of Ideal college in Dilsukhnagar, he was going to Malakpet to attend the birthday party of his friend when the accident occurred. He was a resident of SBH Colony, the L.B. Nagar police said.
Body found in nala
An unidentified person aged about 40 years was found dead in an open nala between Reddy basthi and Saraswathinagar in Saidabad on Sunday. Police believe the victim died after accidentally slipping into the nala on Saturday night. No injuries were found on the body.
Youth dies in a
hit-and-run case
An unidentified youth died in a hit and run case near National Police Academy under Rajendranagar police station area on Saturday night. The victim was clad in orange shirt and grey trousers.
Six persons held
The Santoshnagar police on Saturday night arrested six persons, including three alleged sex workers, after raiding a house at Khajapura. One of the arrested, Shafi, was accused of organising a brothel by hiring the three sex workers. The other two -- Salauddin and Hameed - were customers, Santoshnagar Inspector Sai Krishna said.
