Rain lashes Pondicherry

Pondicherry : A cloudburst on Tuesday brought welcome relief to the city, which was suffering under a hot spell. The 45-minute downpour in the early hours dumped 7.8 cm of rain in the Union Territory. Lightning and thunder accompanied the heavy showers. It brought down the temperature considerably.
