Ashok Leyland gets ISO/TS 16949

CHENNAI: Ashok Leyland has received ISO/TS 16949 Corporate Certification. K. Madhok, Managing Director of Indian Register Quality Systems (IRQS), presented the certificate to R. Seshasayee, Managing Director of Ashok Leyland. Affiliated to the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), ISO / TS 16949 is the latest international quality standard specific to the auto industry. It is a significant improvement on ISO 9001/2000, lauded as one of the most comprehensive standards to have been evolved worldwide.
