VDCA `B' triumphs

VISAKHAPATNAM: VDCA `B' won the D.Ch. Tirupathi Raju memorial tournament by virtue of first-innings lead over VDCA `C' in the final.

The scores: VDCA `B' 229 and 198 for five in 60 overs (B. Penta Rao 97, Prince Susan 43) drew with VDCA C 208.

Chess tournament

The All-Vizag District Chess Association is conducting the Rokkam Rama Rao memorial district open prize money tournament from June 22 to 28 at the AGL College on the Sankaramatham road here.
