TIRUPATI: Hyderabad-based Central Institute of Tool Design, a premier institute providing specialised training in tool design, manufacture and automation techniques, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Electronics Corporation of India Limited to conduct training programmes in Tirupati in CAD, CAM, CAE and CNC programming. The CITD has set up an advanced learning centre on the ECIL premises on Renigunta road here. The first two-day training programme `A course on geometric dimensioning and tolerancing' concluded on Tuesday, in which 36 executives from establishments like Tata Motors, Sundaram Clayton, Nuclear Fuel Complex, Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratories, Research Centre Imarat etc. took part. The course is meant for scientists, engineers, managers and professionals involved in design, manufacturing, quality control, marketing, planning, industrial engineering.
Workshops
For students pursuing degree/diploma in engineering and polytechnic institutions, the CITD wil hold workshops regularly, starting with one on June 27. Details can be had at 94409 63987 and registration can be made at citdcadcam@citdindia.org
