ANANTAPUR: Congress MLA from the Singanamala constituency in the district S. Sailajanath suffered a heart attack here on Tuesday. He was rushed moved to NIMS in Hyderabad where his condition was stated to be normal. According to the sources close to the legislator's family, he had an ECG on Monday and had sensed some problem again in on Tuesday morning. As Mr. Sailajanath is doctor himself, who had served the Government Medical College/General Hospital here as an associate professor till he took plunge into politics before the 2004 Assembly elections, he rushed to the hospital in the morning and collapsed. Mr. Sailajanath drove himself to the General Hospital in the car by taking his mother along with him. He collapsed on the ground immediately after getting off the vehicle on the hospital premises. The legislator's wife is pursuing MD course in NIMS at present. He was busy with the campaigning for local bodies' elections overseeing party affairs in Dharmavaram constituency.
