Rs.1,800-crore crop loan target for U.P.

LUCKNOW: Target to disburse a total of Rs 1,800 crore crop loan in Uttar Pradesh has been fixed for the current financial year.

The amount comprises targetted disbursal of Rs 825 crore and Rs 975 crore loan for Kharif and Rabi crops respectively for 2006-07.

``Loans amounting to Rs 109.47 crore have already been distributed for kharif crops so far, which is 13.27 per cent of the target,'' General Manager U.P. Cooperative Bank R S Nirvan said here on Tuesday. - UNI
