BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said here on Tuesday that journalists play an important role by acting as beacon for politicians. Mr. Singh said he "had never had the wrong notion that I know everything" and "I am always willing to accept the best even it means borrowing ideas from opponents". He was speaking at a ceremony held at his official residence to release "Madhya Pradesh -- Aaj aur Kal (M.P. -- Today and Tomorrow)-2006" published by senior journalist Rambhuvan Singh Kushwaha. The Chief Minister said the media had contributed significantly towards the development of the State. "Those who run the Government should develop a vision for the future relying on conclusions based on a proper and systematic study of the present. This approach can go a long way in framing policies for the future," he added. The 525-page reference volume contains information about Madhya Pradesh, covering most key areas.
