Bomb hoax at school

VIJAYAWADA: A hoax call triggered panic on the premises of Bhashyam Public School in Gayatri Nagar on Tuesday. An anonymous caller called the police control room at 3.06 p.m. and told a constable that a bomb was planted on the school premises.

The constable alerted the Machavaram police who reached the school along with bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs. Two campuses of the school were immediately vacated.

After searching the classrooms for over 90 minutes, the police confirmed that it was a hoax.
