HYDERABAD: World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and Canon are organising a unique photography contest to highlight India's depleting freshwater resources and carry the message of responsible conservation. Depleting freshwater resources is a major threat to India's future. The photography contest is being organised to highlight the issue in its various forms while carrying the message of the need for responsible conservation, according to a release. The contest, open only to Indian nationals, commenced on June 13 and would go on for a period of 45 days. The last date for sending entries is July 28, according to State Director Farida Tampal. Contestants should be 18 years and above, and entries would be classified under two categories of amateur and professionals. Exciting prizes sponsored by Canon and WWF await the contestants, release said. For more information one may contact the phone number 23534151.
