Crowns stolen in temple theft

HYDERABAD: Burglars struck at a temple in Nagapally village under Ibrahimpatnam police station limits on Monday night and fled with two silver crowns and other valuables.

Miscreants gained entry into Laxminarasimha Swamy temple by breaking open the main door lock and stole two silver crowns of the deity weighing 14 tolas. The theft came to light when the temple priest came to perform `pooja' on Tuesday morning.
