BANGALORE: Seven persons, including two students, were killed in accidents in the city and Bangalore Rural district on Monday night. Two persons were killed when the motorcycle they were riding rammed a tempo near Solur bus stop in Kudur police station limits in Bangalore Rural district. According to police Shekar (23) and Puttalingaiah (26), residents of Turuvekere, were coming to the city in heavy rain. The rider could not see the tempo ahead of the vehicle. He hit the tempo and both fell off the motorcycle and were killed on the spot. Gangamma (55) was killed and three of her relatives were injured when the car in which they were travelling was hit by private bus on Bangalore-Magadi Road in Tavarekere police station limits of Bangalore Rural district. All the four, residents of Chamarajpet, were on their way to Huliyurdurga. While Gangamma died on the spot, the injured have been admitted to Victoria hospital. Mohameed Sharief (20), a first year B.Sc. student of Ambedkar College in Indiranagar, was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a goods vehicle. He died while being taken to hospital. Another degree student, Venkataramana Naik (23), was killed when he fell off a BMTC bus on Mahalakshmipuram 11th Main Road.According to police Naik, who was travelling on the footboard of the bus, fell off when the bus was negotiating a turn near the junction of 11th Main Road and West of Chord Road. A motorcyclist was killed and another was injured when a car hit two motorcycles in Basaweshwara Nagar in Vijayanagar traffic police station limits. While Ganesh Hegde (23), who was working in a private company, was killed on the spot, Vijay, who was riding behind Hegde, has been admitted to hospital. A 32-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was knocked down by a jeep on West of Chord Road. He was admitted to the K.C. General Hospital, where he died.
