Power shutdown

in some areas

There will be no power supply on Wednesday between 10.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Kariayanapalya, HBR II Block, Bharathiyar Road, Ramachandrappa Layout, KSFC Layout, Hennur Main Road, Oil Mill Road and the surrounding areas, due to reconducting works by BESCOM in Lingarajpuram E-5 sub division, according to the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company.

Vocational training for visually impaired

The National Association for the Blind, Karnataka Branch, is offering two years vocational training in basic general mechanic (fitter) Trade. Visually impaired candidates aged between 16 and 30 years with a minimum educational qualification of 8th pass can apply. The last date for submitting the applications is July 10. Free eye screening

Shraddha Eye Care Trust and Nethradhama Super-Speciality Eye Hospital will conduct a free eye screening and surgical camp in association with Basaveshwara and Madeshwara Seva Trust on June 26 at Government Primary School, Yalavalli, Kanakapura Taluk from 9 a.m. Patients found fit for cataract surgery would be operated at the base hospital free of cost.
