Bangalore: Wind River Systems, which is into device software optimisation (DSO), on Tuesday announced that Mercury Computer Systems had selected the `Wind River Platform for Network Equipment, Linux Edition' for its Ensemble2 Advanced TCA-based application platform. Mercury's Ensemble2 is a standards-based system that allows developers to develop, evaluate and deploy their applications on the same platform. Mercury selected the Wind River platform because it provides the company with a commercial-grade quality carrier-grade Linux (CGL) platform.

Award for Caritor
Caritor, an IT consulting and systems integration firm, has been awarded SAP's Pinnacle Award for its outstanding partnership with SAP in Asia.
This is the first time any SAP partner in India has been recognised with this global award. The award is in recognition of Caritor's maximum number of best practices implementations in Asia.
Raja Sekharan, senior vice-president, Caritor said, "We are proud of our association with SAP, and this award comes as recognition for our long-standing commitment to SAP implementation. Continuing with this momentum, we look forward to establishing similar benchmarks, further strengthening our association with SAP globally."
Marlabs India, provider of technology services and solutions to select verticals, on Tuesday announced Shebu Raphael's coming on board as its worldwide head of Human Capital.
In his new role, Mr. Raphael will be responsible for HR services for projects and professional services in India, the U.S. and other markets that Marlabs operates in. Prior to joining Marlabs, he was the director, HR Services, North America, for Birlasoft.
Together with Audi, Bosch developed the diesel-injection system for the Audi R10 TDI racing cars, supplying high-pressure pumps, injectors and the engine control unit for the common-rail system used in the cars.
At this year's world-famous race at Le Mans the two racing cars came in first and third.
