Vizag loses to Bangalore

VISAKHAPATNAM: Last year's runner-up Visakhapatnam went down fighting to holder Bangalore 27-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-17, 15-13 in the inaugural match of the South Zone inter-SAI Hostel volleyball tournament here on Wednesday.

But the Visakhapatnam girls prevailed over Chennai 25-23, 26-24, 15-25, 25-15.

In a boys' match, Salem defeated Calicut 25-23, 25-17, 25-27, 25-20. — Special Correspondent
