CHENNAI: Conditions are favourable for the further advance of Southwest monsoon over the remaining parts of Telangana during the next 48 hours. Southwest monsoon has been active over Kerala.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala, Lakshadweep, at many places over coastal Karnataka and at a few places over south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka.

FORECAST (valid until Friday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep, coastal and south interior Karnataka and at a few places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, and north interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over Kerala, Lakshadweep, coastal and south interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.
