Malini Ramani permitted to travel abroad

New Delhi: Amid opposition from the prosecution that the socialite was facing two criminal cases, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted permission to Malini Ramani, a key witness in the Jessica Lal murder case, to visit South Africa for a fashion show.

Vacation judge Justice Geeta Mittal, however, directed Ms. Ramani to furnish to the court a copy of the bail obtained by her in the alleged criminal case in 2000.

Justice Mittal, while granting Ms. Ramani permission to travel abroad, directed her to surrender the passports of her parents besides furnishing a personal bond of Rs. 5 lakh.
