Poovamma's distinction

MANGALORE: M.R. Poovamma, a student of St. Mary's PU College, Mangalore, will represent India in the 400m individual event, and in the 4x100m relay at the Asian junior athletics meet to be held in Beijing next month.

She was chosen after she set a national record in 400m (55.45s) at the National meet in Chennai recently.
