London: Rohan Bopanna and his Davis Cup team mate Prakash Amritraj have failed to make the main draw at Wimbledon, losing their second round qualifying matches on Tuesday. Bopanna lost 6-4, 6-4 to American Robert Kendrick while Germany's Benjamin Becker took Amritraj out with a hard-fought 7-5, 7-6(4) win. In the first round, Bopanna had beaten Czech Tomas Cakl 6-3, 6-4. Amritraj had gotten past Italy's Massimo Dell'Acqua with a 6-1, 7-6(4) win. In the doubles, Bopanna and his Swedish partner Johan Landsberg crashed out after losing their first round qualifying match 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 to the Georgian-Serbian pair of Irakli Labadze and Dusan Vemic.
