NEW DELHI: Art and fashion will now intermingle to promote the campaign against drunken driving. The Community Against Drunken Driving (CADD) has come out with special T-shirts with artistic impressions of contemporary artists emblazoned on them. Art on Tee's -- the latest initiative by CADD president Prince Singhaal -- is supported by 22 artists, including Bose Krishnamachari, Gopi Gajwani, G.R. Santosh, Harshwardhan, Jai Zharotia, Laxman Gaud, Neeraj Goswami, Paresh Maitey and Suhas Roy. Stating that each T-shirt has been specially fabricated and printed keeping in mind the colour and look of each art work, Prince Singhaal says: "I had this idea in mind for the past one year. An array of art forms like sketches, figurative, landscape and abstract has been carefully put together on these exclusive T-shirts. Now a person can buy a T-shirt, on which expensive works of art have been printed, at an affordable rate." The unique selling point of the garment is that it is not only a rocking style statement for fashion lovers but also a memorabilia for art connoisseurs who wanted to flaunt art works but did not know how to go about it. Lending support to CADD's ideology and message on safe driving habits will be people from other fields, like musicians, actors and performing artists.
