CHENNAI: The Chennai Science Forum on Wednesday honoured students of the Ahobila Math Oriental Higher Secondary School, who topped in the HSC and OSLC examinations. N. Kavya, T.M. Vijay Varadharaj and S. Deepika were felicitated for their outstanding performance. Kavya scored 1,186 and topped the State among those who had opted for languages other than Tamil. Teachers commended Vijay for his brilliant performance in class twelve (1,177), the engineering entrance and the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examinations. Deepika, who stood third in the school with a total of 1,175, is awaiting the engineering counselling session. S. Aiswarya, S. Sinduja and K. Priya, who topped in the O.S.L.C. examinations, were also honoured, apart from students who scored centums and topped in different subjects. Also, notebooks were distributed to 150 students on behalf of the Kidambi Narasimhachariar Centenary Memorial Trust. Students were also awarded scholarships for their notable performance in Sanskrit. President of the school N. Venkatasubramanian, secretary N.V. Vasudevachariyar, headmaster T.M. Soundararajan, assistant head master S. Seshadri, R. Vasanthakumar of the Chennai Science Forum and K. Seshadri of the Kidambi Narasimhachariar Centenary Memorial Trust were also present.
