Pondicherry: Puduchery Munnetra Congress leader P. Kannan has appealed to voters to be wary of supporting the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in the coming civic elections in Pondicherry and Oulgaret municipalities. Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, he said the DMK would only play second fiddle to all the "doings of the Congress." Mr. Kannan also alleged that the AIADMK was pretending to be the Opposition party to the ruling Congress. All its criticism of the Congress was for publicity and hence it would not discharge its duty sincerely, he charged. . Mr. Kannan sought support for his party nominees Renuka Appadurai (a former Education Minister) and S. Bhuvanesaran in the civic polls to Pondicherry and Oulgaret municipalities.
