dated June 24, 1956: Nehru in London

Prime Minister Nehru arrived in London by air on June 22 to attend the Commonwealth Prime Ministers' conference beginning next week. Addressing pressmen soon after arrival, he said he would certainly not raise the question of Kashmir or Goa at the conference. Mr. Nehru, who travelled in a Viscount airliner of the IAF, was accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, and his two grandsons, Rajiv and Sanjiv. Among those who received him at the airport were Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Pandit, India's High Commissioner, Mr. V.K. Krishna Menon, Indian Minister without portfolio, and the British Commonwealth Relations Secretary, Lord Home.
