GURUVAYUR: The Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) (DIC-K) leader K. Karunakaran said here on Friday that it was the failure of the State Government to properly represent its case at the appropriate time that led to the crisis in the self-financing college fee and admission issue in the State.. Mr. Karunakaran was here to offer prayers at Sri Krishna Temple on his 89th birthday. Talking to reporters, Mr. Karunakaran said he did not agree with the view that the self-financing college Bill moved by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government was against the minorities or that it amounted to raising a banner of revolt against the order of the Supreme Court in this regard. Mr. Karunakaran's son and DIC(K) president K. Muraleedharan, daughter Padmaja Venugopal, and several other family members as well as a large number of party workers were in Guruvayur to greet Mr. Karunakaran on his birthday.
