SAI (STC, S'bad) keeps winning

HYDERABAD : Sports Authority of India (STC, Secunderabad) recorded its third win, defeating Andhra Pradesh Police 5-3 in the Super Six hockey championship, organised by the Hyderabad Hockey Association, at the Begumpet Police Stadium here on Friday.

T.N. Sudhir (2), Ajay Babu, Nitya Vijayanand and Vijay Kumar scored for the winner while Laxminarayana, Suri Babu and Rafiuddin were on target for the loser.

Match drawn

SBI drew with Our's CC in the A-Division (two-day) league cricket championship here.

The scores: SBI 244 (Vincent Vinay Kumar 49, Riaz 67, P. Suresh Kumar five for 33) drew with Our's CC 180 (Md. Abdul Waheed 50, Abu Baker five for 34).

Darshana delights

Darshana of Anantapur won the mini cadet girls' singles title defeating Spoorthy of Vijayawada 11-7, 11-6, 9-11, 11-9 in the final of the Hyderabad YMCA State-ranking open table tennis tournament here on Friday.
