Sangareddy: Nizamabad range DIG Anjani Kumar handed over letterheads for correspondence symbolising the kick start of ISO 9001 certification process for the Medak district police headquarters here on Thursday. Earlier addressing the staff, the DIG said that the aim of going for the certification was to provide better services to policemen and women and also citizens who depended on the DPO for many of their needs.
First step
He said that this would be the first step in removing the misconception of the common man about the Police Department that it rigidly followed and not open for change. P.V. Sunil Kumar, Medak SP, said that the staff of the DPO had put 60 days of hard work preparing the necessary ground for the launching of the ambitious project. He commended Anuradha, a staff member for presenting the process charts by different committees. CGM of Mahindra and Mahindra 's Zaheerabad unit Venakataraman said that 1 per cent of the profit after taxes of the 3-billion $ US firm had been set aside for socially responsible projects and his firm was delighted to be a partner in the transformation process of the Medak DPO.
