Extensive changes made in train timings from July 1

HYDERABAD: Major changes in the Southern Regional Time-Table of the Railways will come into effect from July 1. They include changes in timings of at least 10 pairs of important trains, introduction of new services, change in frequency, change in train numbers, diversions and extensions.

New timings

Trains that will run to new timings include those that originate and terminate in places within Andhra Pradesh like Godavari, Nagarjuna, Palnadu, Vijaywada Intercity, Gautami, Narayanadri and Venkatadri as well as inter-State trains such as Hussainsagar, Dakshin/Link, Charminar, Chennai, Rajdhani, Falaknuma, East Coast and Bikaner, said a press release.

Changed timings

No. 6043/6044 Chennai-Kakinada-Chennai Circar Exp will run via Guntur. The release said two new passenger trains - Nos. 212/211 Gudur - Tirupati - Gudur and Nos. 345/346 Karepalli - Bhadrachalam Road - Karepalli would be introduced. The timings of a host of passenger trains have also been changed. Passengers may access information pertaining to the changes through regular enquiry numbers.

Trains upgraded

Ten pairs of Express trains will be upgraded to Superfast Express category and their train numbers will be revised from July 1. They are:

Also, originating and destination stations of some trains have been changed as follows: Train No. 7052/7051 Secunderabad-Chennai Egmore -Secunderabad Express will originate/terminate at Kacheguda instead of Secunderabad.

Revised train numbers

Consequently, train numbers will be revised as No. 7652/7651 Kacheguda-Chennai Egmore-Kacheguda Express. No. 7048/7047 Secunderabad-Kakinada Port- Secunderabad Gautami Express will originate/terminate at Kakinada Town instead of Kakinada Port.

Accordingly, No. 7048 leaving Secunderabad from June 30 onwards will terminate at Kakinada Town. Train No. 7047 will depart from Kakinada Town instead of Kakinada Port from July 1.
