Transco Lok Adalat

The Lok Adalat for the AP Transco will hold a sitting to hear and settle cases of consumers of Central Power Distribution Company of A.P. at Mint Compound at 11 a.m. on June 24.

Urdu examinations

at 113 centres

More than 8,400 students are expected to take the Urdu Dani, Urdu Zaban Dani and Urdu Insha examinations being conducted by the Abid Ali Khan Educational Trust on June 25. The exam is to be held at 113 centres in the city and 70 centres from the districts apart from five centres in neighbouring States.

The trust conducts free EAMCET training, Teachers Training, BUMS Entrance Test training, according to a press release.

New bus services

The APSRTC City Region in a statement informed the introduction of 12 trips on 245-A route between Secunderabad and Aushapur via Mettuguda, Tarnaka, Uppal X roads, Medipally, Ghatkesar, NFC Nagar and Ankushapur X roads starting Saturday.

Interaction course

valedictory

The valedictory of a six-day vertical interaction course for senior IPS officers on the theme `Development in Forensic Science and Forensic Medicine' organised by Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Hyderabad, will be held on Saturday. N. C. Joshi, Director-General, Bureau of Police Research & Development would preside.

According to a release, the course was inaugurated by Ranbir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, NALSAR University of Law, on June 19.

Teachers' plea

The Andhra Pradesh Teachers' Federation has demanded stopping of `illegal' transfer of teachers in the name of deputation.

K.Venugopal, president, and N.V.Raghavaiah, general secretary, alleged that 200 teachers were transferred for administrative reasons even though it was not required.
