Coimbatore: In an attempt aimed at attracting customers to uzhavar sandhais where public patronage was less, the administration has introduced a prize scheme through draw of lots. The Collector, Neeraj Mittal, has introduced prize scheme by draw of lots at uzhavar sandhais in Kurichi and Pollachi where public patronage is less. At the entrance of the sandhais, a pot with empty lots and five prize lots would be kept every day. The buyer on entering the sandhai could pick up a lot and whoever gets the lot with sandhai seal would get 1 kg of vegetable as prize. There will be five beneficiaries each day, a release said.
