Belgaum: Two candidates appearing for counselling for admissions to first year undergraduate programmes of medical and dental sciences of the KLE Academy of Higher Education (KAHE), a deemed university, were arrested on charges of impersonation and cheating, here on Friday. According to the KAHE Registrar, the university conducted entrance examination for admission to MBBS and BDS courses on May 27 at various centres across the country. More than 3,000 candidates had appeared for the examination. Counselling was being conducted from June 22 on the university campus here. During the counselling, two cases of impersonation and cheating were identified with the help of biometric and photograph identification by the KAHE counselling team. The accused have been identified as Rajin Kumar of Patna, Bihar, (Rank No 37) and Rishikant Sinha (Rank No. 128) of Uttar Pradesh. Both of them have been handed over APMC police station. The police have registered a case.
