CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of Telangana and thus covered the entire region.

Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over coastal Karnataka and active over Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep, at many places over north interior Karnataka and at a few places over Telangana and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu.

WEATHER FORECAST (valid until Monday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at many places over Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka. Iolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Heavy rain is likely to occur at a few places with isolated very heavy falls over coastal Karnataka and north Kerala during next 48 hours and isolated heavy rain is also likely to occur over interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep during the same period.
