CAD centre at Malnad engineering college

HASSAN: Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan has established a "Central CAD and CAM Facility Centre, at an investment of Rs. 70 lakh.

Principal M.G. Venkatesha Murthy said in a release here on Saturday that it would help in catering to the needs of engineering professionals and students involved in designing activities.

Computer-aided designs would help in faster development of new products, he said. The centre had been established with the assistance of Technical

Quality Improvement Programme. Its objective was to engineering students aware of the different software used in the industry and to train them. The designing and manufacturing sectors had been playing an important role in the field of technology. As many as 50 terminals with latest configurations have been provided with high-end server connected through networking, he added.
