THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many as 938 candidates secured distinction and 2,406 candidates first class in the three-year diploma examination conducted by the Controller of Technical Examinations in the various polytechnic colleges in the State in April. This was stated in a release issued by the office of the Controller of Technical Examinations here on Friday. Kalamassery Polytechnic College, which had the maximum number of candidates, secured 64 per cent success. The highest percentage of success was registered at Model Polytechnic College, Kalyasseri (76.4 per cent), while the lowest, 19.82 per cent, was registered at Government Polytechnic College, Adoor, and Government Polytechnic College, Nedumkandam.
