PATHANAMTHITTA: The annual Niraputhari celebrations at Lord Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala will be held on August 9. According to the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), the temple will be opened at 5.30 p.m. on August 8 for the ritualistic celebrations in the Malayalam month of Karkidakom. The celebrations will start the next day. The puthari puja will be performed between 6.20 a.m. and 7.10 a.m. the next day. The temple will be closed after athazha puja later in the afternoon, According to the TDB.
