NIZAMABAD: Students under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad took out a rally and staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Saturday, protesting against the alleged move by the Government to increase tuition fees in private and aided engineering colleges.

Addressing the gathering, the ABVP leaders pointed out that many Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Classes students were dropping out from engineering courses unable to pay even the existing fee amount.

All types of fee

Demanding withdrawal of the move, they accused the Government of being hand in glove with managements of private colleges to increase the fee. Colleges were fleecing students by collecting Rs.1500 for application form, apart from taking huge amounts in the name of caution fee, library deposit, maintenance fee and lab fee.
