Six held, 14 two-wheelers seized

VIJAYAWADA: The city police on Saturday arrested six persons, including five in the age group of 18-20, on the charge of stealing motorcycles. The police seized 14 motorcycles from them, estimated to cost about Rs. 4.5 lakhs.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (West Zone) Sheik Mastan Vali said at a press conference that A. Ratna Rao of Kandriga, M. Srinivasa Rao of Poranki and K. Appa Rao of Gunadala stole 11 motorcycles from PWD Grounds Rythu Bazaar, Patamata, Benz Circle and Gunadala areas.

Mr. Vali also charged Y. Sriram, J. Kiran Kumar and V. Saikrishna, all students of B.Com in Nalanda Vidyalaya, with stealing four motorcycles from Kothapet area. The police seized the vehicles from them.
