Nine persons bitten by snakes

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The rains that lashed the city this week has proved to be perilous for people living in the periphery.

The downpour has filled up the burrows of snakes with water, forcing the reptiles out into the open.

Nine persons were bitten by various venomous and non-venomous snakes in and around the city on Friday.

The victims were admitted to the Sri Srinivasa Nursing Home in Hoskote, run by Nagaraj who specialises in treating snakebites.
